Mental Preparation
My friends always say that I will lose and then instantly I had lost a point after I lose they would say that I am waste and useless and that keeps me down. I used to be equal to school team player now I am an ordinary player. What can i do for this?
Hi Aditya,
For a start stop listening to that person. Negative feedback can easily influence your actual play.
You need to trust what you are able to do and focus only on this. It is difficult to do this when you are getting negative talk. You should probably talk to this friend and let them know that you would like them to stop this.
Then focus on just being the best player that you can.
The seventh building block of table tennis is sports psychology, an essential aspect of mastering the game. The first step is recognising your emotions during important matches. Understanding how pressure and nerves affect your performance allows you to develop strategies to stay focused and in control.
By strengthening your mental game, you can handle high-stakes situations with confidence and perform at your best, no matter the challenge.
