How to handle really impulsive topspin when you are close to the table?

Use a simple block.  This is the shortest stroke and will take the least time to make.

The block is covered in the Intermediate Intermediate Strokes section.  Take a look at the lesson on the Backhand Block.

Hi Arpit,

If the serve comes low with backspin then a short push is the best option on the return.  This tutorial may help as well. Push or Flick.

Hi Mervyn,

You can check with one of the major manufacturers or a sports store in your area.
